PHILLY!

Rocky! We arrived in Philadelphia last night at the apartment Wes Enicks ’03 and Kate Hasecke ’03 around 1:30 a.m. Wes was nice enough to wait up for us and help us get settled in. With all of our air mattresses laying side by side in the living room, this was the first of many authentic Witt Nation sleep-overs. A few delirious jokes and giggles led to a great night’s sleep and dreams of Philly Cheesesteaks in the morning.

The event began in front of the Liberty Bell. Well…I guess the real excitement actually started on the street in front of the Liberty Bell where we all attempted to unload the van. Apparently, this is a federal street and walking, stopping or unloading a 12 passenger van is strictly prohibited. Our first encounter with Philadelphia almost ended up being our first encounter with a tazer as well. After we smoothed things over with the officer, we were able to greet our onlooking alumni.

From the Liberty Bell we strolled down Market Street to a nearby park where we enjoyed real Philly Cheesteaks and some GREAT stories from alumni. Following the event we headed over to The Philadelhphia Museum of Art where we recorded a video of us all running up the Rocky steps. It will be on the webiste soon! All in all Philadelphia was an amazing city with amazing people. I can’t wait to go back sometime soon.
