Happy Fourth of July! We're on the road early today leaving Minneapolis on the way to Rapid City, S.D. The event last night was great at the Town Hall Brewery. We all had a blast sharing stories about
some of our fondest memories at Witt, and I had many volunteers tell their stories on camera, which was awesome! It was great to be able to engage with alumni from the Minneapolis area. It was easy to see how passionate this group is about Wittenberg. After the event last night, we were able to catch the fireworks from a bridge overlooking the Taste of Minnesota, which was a great way to start off the fourth of July weekend. We then hit up a few more of the local sights around the fun city of St. Paul. We would like to thank all of you for coming out last night! We were able to have engaging conversations in a smaller group setting. One of my favorite parts of the Witt Nation thus far is meeting alumni and hearing all their Wittenberg Stories. Every alumnus has a special story about how Wittenberg molded him or her into the people they are today. We would like to thank Dana Reamsnyder '09 and her family for hosting us at their beautiful home! Thanks also to Gina for moving my "grungy" laundry from the washer to the dryer! Be sure to check out the pictures and video stories from Minneapolis and all the other stops around the country!

out for their patient teachers. I believe I accomplished this by chasing them on the playground. Yesterday the crew had a chance to explore the windy city and spend time with friends and family. Our family friend Lisa and her two great daughters showed Ryan and I around the city and made great recommendations for food at the Taste of Chicago. We had everything from deep-dish pizza to chocolate covered bananas. It was such a nice way to sample Chicago's finest restaurants. Our event last night was very successful at the former IBM building. It was great capturing alumni profiles with the famous Chicago Theatre as a backdrop. After the event we got an invitation to Sushi Samba by the manager Adam Feichter (ATR), a 2003 graduate. We would like to thank him for his hospitality! After Sushi Samba we hit the Roof, another bar in downtown Chicago. Now were off to Carthage College on our way to Milwaukee!
We have just a few days before we leave on the journey across the states. Ashley and I, and the rest of the crew are so excited to get going! We had a great test drive event in Pittsburgh following the successful Springfield event. These events made me even more prepared and excited for the tour! I've already met many fantastic alumni and have heard some hilarious stories, some of which are in the video clips on the site. We are wrapping up last minute tasks in the next few days (like remembering name tags) and I should probably start packing my bag.... Eh I'll wait until Saturday to do that (I thrive under pressure). The test drive gave me time to learn about some of Ashley's quirks like saying perfect after everything (even if things are far from perfect) and I think my habit of throwing Witt in front of everything--WittStore, WittEvent, WittHouse--is starting to catch on... It will spread across the WittNation! I hope everyone is ready for us to come to your city or a city near you, because we are officially on WittTurbo mode! See you soon!
I am returning from the Witt Nation stop in Pittsburgh. We had a great time at the Liefeld’s meeting and reconnecting with alums. Breakfast at Nadine’s on the south side of Pittsburgh, featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Dives and Drive-ins”, was quite an experience. Good food and conversation with the York College Spartanation crew, running their pilot summer tour similar to Witt Nation. With permission, we left a Witt Nation sticker on the window of Nadine’s…..look for it if you are ever there. It has been a great time with Linda, Ashley, and Ben. I am sold on Witt Nation and will possibly be able to come to other events this summer. I am definitely a re-up for next summer.

As we start to pack up the van we wanted to highlight all of the donated items from groups on campus. We have lots of different organizations represented including: sports teams, fraternities and sororities, Student Senate, Union Board, Lesotho, and several more! A special thanks goes out to all the groups who submitted a roadtrip item. We surely have an assortment of activities offered at Wittenberg. We will be sure to have them all displayed prominently in the van at some point during the tour!
Greetings Witt Nation! As one of the newest roadies I thought I’d give you a quick update on what Ashley (the other rookie) and I have been up to in the past few weeks. Commencement was Saturday and it was great to see friends and family! At the same time, it was sad to see everyone leave. Ashley and I have been very busy planning and promoting Witt Nation ’09 and we are really eager to get the tour started. We cannot wait to meet the hundreds of alumni around the country!
