Wittenberg Guild Style Show Chairwoman Wendy Ford ’76

Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg Guild presents its 57th annual Scholarship Style Show on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Center Dining Room of the Benham-Pence Student Center. Chaired by Wendy Ford, Wittenberg class of 1976, this year’s show titled The Guild Goes Red Carpet begins with a social hour and silent auction at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and the show beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The Guild Goes Red Carpet is being billed as an opportunity to make every guest a star as they wear “red carpet” attire and make a grand entrance. Auction items are donated by members and friends of the Wittenberg Guild, and the show will feature fall fashions for women of all ages and sizes, as well as children.

Local volunteer models will don clothing from Macy’s at Tuttle Crossing after they are treated to professional hair and make-up prior to the show at Mallia Salon and Day Spa. Lynn Jacques of Macy’s will again narrate the show, which will feature fall fashions for men and women of all ages and sizes, as well as children.

The Wittenberg Guild is a women’s organization focused on promoting Wittenberg and utilizing its educational resources to enrich the local community, as well as awarding scholarships to students from Clark and surrounding counties who plan to attend the university. Through the years, the organization has raised more than $1 million for scholarship support, campus landscaping, artwork for the student center, renovation of the Ann Miller Gallery in Koch Hall and pianos for Krieg Hall.

Prizes, including a $100 gift certificate to Mallia Salon and Day Spa and dinner for two at Mela, eight rounds of golf at Windy Knoll Golf Club, jewelry from Goldesign, and a hand-blown glass piece by Springfield artist Doug Frates will be raffled off during the event.

The cost in advance of the event is $25 and $10 for children under the age of 12. The cost for Wittenberg faculty and staff members is $20. At the door, all ticket prices are $30 for adults and $15 for children.

Space is limited to the first 250 people who register. To make reservations, contact Wittenberg’s Office of University Advancement at 937-327-7432. Checks can be sent to the Wittenberg Guild, c/o Linda Himes, P.O. Box 720, Springfield, OH 45501.
