Wittenberg Senior Art Majors Present Exhibition Of Works

Springfield, Ohio – The Senior Thesis Art Exhibition, which includes works by 11 Wittenberg University seniors, will be on display in the Ann Miller and Thompson Galleries in Koch Hall between Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, May 15. An opening reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in Koch Hall.
Wittenberg’s Department of Art requires students to complete a Senior Studio Thesis Capstone to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Studio Art. Each student must create an original body of work in their media area during their senior year and display approximately eight pieces in the mandatory Senior Thesis Art Exhibition.
Students completing their work for a BFA and their concentration include Katalin Beavers from Columbus, Ohio, painting; Kayla Snider from Cookeville, Tenn., photography; and Jessica Thomas from Springfield, Ohio, drawing.
Those completing the requirements for a BA include Jeremy Block from Pittsburgh, Pa., ceramics; Maureen Buckley from Columbus, Ohio, photography; Lindsey Carter from Bridport, Vt., silver jewelry; Mary Heminger from Findlay, Ohio, photography; Ben Maxwell from Kettering, Ohio, photography; Kali Parmley from Rushsylvania, Ohio, photography; Cailyn Roeble from Columbus, Ohio, digital imaging; and Nic Wolfe from Kettering, Ohio, photography/digital imaging. Block is an Honors candidate.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the show is free and open to the public.
