Springfield, Ohio –

To earn a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Wittenberg University students are required to complete a Senior Studio Thesis Seminar, which culminates in an exhibition. Eight students have contributed pieces for an exhibition at Ambience Events, 320 W. Main St., Springfield, Ohio, from Friday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 19. An opening reception for the show will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29.

The capstone requires students to create an original body of artwork during their senior year, culminating in the Senior Thesis Exhibitions which will be on display April 16 through May 15. The Senior Thesis Winter Exhibition offers a preview of the work they are producing during their year-long capstone.

Each student will exhibit two pieces in the show. The artists and their media include Emily Barsan from Mason, Ohio, Colin Evans from Berea, Ohio, and Krissy Herman from Cincinnati, Ohio, photography – Barsan will also show digital imaging; Lauren Luecke from Mahtomedi, Minn., and Adam Bodnar from Upper Arlington, Ohio, ceramics. Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates include Andrea Payne from Springfield, Ohio, drawing; Heather Roscow from Gahanna, Ohio; and Megan Bundy from Canfield, Ohio, painting.

Light refreshments will be served during the reception. Ambiance Events is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
