Alumni and friends of the class of 1950 enjoyed a rare opportunity during their 60th reunion, June 10- 12, to engage with 11 recipients of the Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Teaching, the top faculty prize at Wittenberg, as part of Alumni College 2010. The 19 class members traveled from a round the country to celebrate their alma mater and its academic environment during the three-day event themed “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things.”

As a senior majoring in communications, Hannah Powell had some good ideas about what path she might take after college. Her experience helping homeless children with their homework at Springfield’s Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) as part of her community service requirement at Wittenberg, however, changed her direction.
