Here We Go

So, as this is my first ever post, an introduction is probably in order. My name is Sam Archibald, and I’m a junior financial economics major from Darien, CT. I’m super excited to start blogging, so thanks to the great admissions counselor Sam Stough for thinking of me!

It’s weird to think, as this is the first day of classes, that today marks the beginning of the second half of my collegiate career. With two years under my belt, my major is starting to fall into place nicely. That also means, however, that the classes I need to take are increasing in difficulty. Syllabus day today seemed a little more intimidating than in years past, but hopefully that’s not the case as we move forward in the semester.

I had a pretty uneventful yet enjoyable summer. For the fifth year in a row, I was head water polo coach, assistant swim coach, and lifeguard at a country club in my town. I’ve said it’s the dream summer job because I’m always hanging out with fun kids and friends on staff. It was also great to catch up with buddies from high school while I had the chance. However, as I’m sure is the case for every other returning Wittenberg Tiger, it’s great to be back on campus! It feels like this is going to be an exciting year.

That’s all for now. Check back soon for more updates!
