So here we are, the first day of classes of my last year in college. Senior year – that’s what’s up. I’ve been telling people I am in denial for the past three months but I guess it’s about time to accept the fact that it is almost over now. Wow, that sounded very sad, but trust me, it’s not. I’m excited about what this year will bring in forms of classes, new acquaintances, professors, activities, intramurals and opportunities for the future.
Senior year will be bittersweet, with one foot steadily in the ground here at Witt and the other one up in the air, looking to put it down somewhere new and exciting. I’m pumped!
Other great things I look forward to is putting my cleats back on for the first time in nine years. That’s right, I will play intramural soccer this fall. One of my sorority sisters is organizing a team and since my parents got me cleats for my birthday this summer I’ve realized there’s no way out.
I’m also excited to see all of our new freshmen and getting to know more about them. Four amazing years here at Wittenberg awaits them and I am almost jealous that it’s not me. Almost.
Tiger up!
Hanna
