Howdy! It’s Jane. Time is flying, isn’t it? I know, life is non-stop and homework is endless. We only have about 10 more weeks to go. Isn’t it exciting? And the weather is being nicer to us (I’m still dreading it though)! I’m already thinking about enjoying the beach, the wind and the sun when I go back to Hanoi, my hometown, which has the temperature of a frying pan. Ok, back to reality, we still have 10 weeks to go. It’s not time for slacking off, midterms has just started. But I can say I’ve had enough of this winter in Ohio. Really, Ohio’s weather is nothing but a whimsical lady in a clothing store: it can be rainy, snow, windy and even sunny in the same day. Please excuse my mood of talking about the weather.
I’ve enjoyed quite a few of events at Witt lately. I went to a Witt Wednesday event listening to singer Chinua Hawk singing. Haven’t heard of him? Quick, go to Myspace, or Youtube, or wherever, and listen to him. Now! This man has the voice of a (male) angel. My friends and I were very surprised at his voice. His performance was more than delightful and he’s such a sweetheart.
Last Wednesday, Class of 2013 cabinet brought to us Miss Witt. It was just a bunch of guys competing for the Miss Witt title by acting like girls. Hey it was actually a real competition; Miss Teen Ohio was the judge. The competitors actually showed their talents. Ehhh, if burping the alphabet and chewing a full mouth of crackers can be called talents. Thank goodness, there was not a bikini round. But hey, we need something like that to laugh at, especially when the midterm is around.
But Spring Break is coming! One more week to go! Where are you going this Spring Break? Ah, again, sunny days, white sand, blue ocean (and frizzy hair)!
