Hi guys! This is Rea from India and it’s almost been three weeks since I arrived at Witt. I stay at the Polis House, which houses most of the international students. I love it because I think it is a great way of interacting with people from different countries and learning about new cultures. We usually hang out in the TV lounge towards the evening and watch a lot of movies on the weekends. The best part about Witt is that there is always something to do. There are more than 100 clubs and organizations on campus and so you can never complain of getting bored. One of my favorite spots is POST 95- an eatery that serves different snacks and beverages. My friends and I go there often to grab some coffee at midnight since it is open till 1am. Sometimes we go there to complete our homework and study.
I’ve finished two weeks of classes today! The weekdays are usually busy hopping from one class to another. The liberal arts education at Witt embraces a holistic approach which is not just memorizing texts but more of practical and out-of-classroom activities. The professors are extremely approachable and helpful. There is a certain warmth at Witt that makes me feel so comfortable and also made my transition to college life so simple.
I will keep you guys posted on the activities that take place this week.
Cheers!
Rea
